American Telephone & Telegraph Company
is Incorporated

On this day in 1885, American Telephone and Telegraph Company was incorporated in New York eventualy becoming known as AT&T.

In 2005, AT&T was purchased by Baby Bell SBC Communications who then changed its name to AT&T, Inc.
