On this day in 1968, after having won the California Democratic primary the day before, Robert F. Kennedy was
shot after addressing his supporters in the ballroom of the Ambassador Hotel. He died the next day.
The assassin was a 24-year-old Palestinian by the name of Sirhan Bishara Sirhan.
