On this day in 1933, The Century of Progress worlds fair opened in Chicago, Illinois to celebrate the city's centennial. The theme of the fair was technological innovation. Some of the highlights of the fair were the German airship Graf Zeppelin, Cadillac's V-16 limousine, and the Packard which won best of show.
