Andrew Johnson was on of only two U. S. Presidents to be impeached. The other was Bill Clinton. Both were acquitted at trial.

Interesting Andrew Johnson Facts

In 1860, Andrew Johnson was a southern Senator from Greeneville, Tennessee. When the southern states began to secede, he was the only southern Senator not to resign his post. During the Civil War, he supported Abraham Lincolns' military policies and became his running mate in the 1864 elections which they won. When Lincoln was assassinated, Johnson became president.
