Notable John Hood Quotes
I knew that if the feat was accomplished it
must be at a most fearful sacrifice of as brave and gallant
soldiers as ever engaged in battle.
Interesting John Hood Facts
After having already lost the use of an arm
in a previous battle, during the Battle of Chickamuauga, Hood
was shot in the leg. His leg was amputated but his injury was
so severe that his leg was sent along with him to the
Clisby-Austin house so that they could be buried together.
Miraculously though, he survived.
